Heat efficient blocks
Wall heat-efficient blocks (heat blocks) are a completely new type of materials for building construction. Heating costs in a house built of wall blocks are three times less than in a house whose walls are built of ordinary brick. Why is this building material so remarkable? Let's figure it out.
What are heat-efficient blocks?
The wall thickness of the heat block is 400 mm. It consists of three layers:
- the outer layer is textured concrete;
- the middle layer is expanded polystyrene;
- the inner layer is expanded clay concrete.
The outer, inner and middle layer are interconnected by reinforcement. Expanded clay is the main bearing layer and takes on all the bearing load of walls and ceilings. Expanded clay, subject to manufacturing technology, has high strength and have reduced thermal conductivity. Therefore, expanded clay, protected by a middle layer of expanded polystyrene, reduces heat loss to almost zero. A thin layer of textured concrete is applied to the polystyrene foam, which protects it from the effects of atmospheric precipitation, and also performs a decorative role. Textured concrete is a kind of artificial stone that has many different options for external decorative texture.
Advantages of heat-efficient blocks
- Low heat loss.
- Short construction time, on the basis that the masonry of the walls occurs in one row. For example, 1 cube a meter of blocks goes to the construction of 2.5 meters of the finished wall.
- Reducing the cost of construction: firstly, decorative exterior finish is not required, due to the textured concrete, and secondly, when laying blocks use a special adhesive mixture. It is much cheaper than cement-sand mortar.
- According to the fire safety class, they belong to the KO group - not fire hazardous.
- The service life of heat-efficient units is more than a hundred years.
- Heat-efficient blocks are made of cologically pure andquality raw materials. They do not pose a risk to human health.
- Heat blocks are mainly intended for private low-rise construction. Given the fact that the walls of wall blocks are 2 times lighter than brick, then the load on the foundation is lower. Therefore, when installing the foundation of the house - the foundation, the costs are much lower.
Block types and sizes
The choice of materials for construction is now truly huge. But when deciding on the construction of a house from a certain material, it is always worth considering the fact of not only cost savings, but also the quality of these products. Today, heat-efficient wall blocks include probably the two most important qualities: inexpensive and durable.
